Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the on-site supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans based on the Physical Therapist's evaluation
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises to improve mobility, strength, and coordination
- Apply manual therapy techniques and modalities as directed
- Educate patients on proper exercise techniques and at-home care programs
- Monitor and document patient progress and report updates to the Physical Therapist
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
Qualifications:
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Valid New York State PTA license (or eligible)
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- No experience necessary — we will train the right candidate!
Preferred (but not required):
- Previous outpatient or clinical experience
- Experience with manual therapy or trigger point techniques
