Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Commercial Electricians to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial buildings, ensuring safety, compliance, and operational efficiency. Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems in commercial settings following NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical schematics to accurately execute project plans.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as ohmmeters and low/high voltage testers to complete electrical tasks efficiently.
- Work on construction sites performing wiring for new builds or renovations while adhering to safety protocols.
- Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in industrial automation systems.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify issues and perform preventative maintenance.
- Collaborate with other trades such as frame carpentry or general contractors during renovation or construction projects.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including inspection reports and schematic updates.
Skills
- Proven experience as a commercial electrician with strong knowledge of NEC regulations.
- Hands-on experience with industrial electrician tasks and construction site environments.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment such as ohmmeters.
- Familiarity with low voltage and high voltage electrical systems in commercial settings.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) in industrial applications.
- Knowledge of renovation processes and construction procedures related to electrical work.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently using schematics and technical manuals.
- Ability to work safely at heights or in confined spaces while following all safety standards including OSHA guidelines.
