Duties
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure high-quality standards are met consistently.
- Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste through effective food management practices.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff on food safety protocols, proper handling techniques, and culinary procedures to foster a skilled and compliant team.
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth shift management, timely service, and excellent customer experience.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations such as food safety standards and sanitation practices.
- Utilize POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation.
- Lead staff hiring efforts through interviewing candidates and conducting performance evaluations to build a motivated team.
- Support budgeting efforts by controlling labor costs and managing food expenses to meet financial goals.
- Implement training & development programs to enhance team skills, improve service quality, and promote professional growth.
- Assist with catering events, banquet services, or special functions as needed to diversify revenue streams.
Experience
- Proven management experience in a quick service & fast food restaurant or casual dining environment with supervisory responsibilities.
- Extensive background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations within the food industry.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for sales transactions and inventory tracking.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Demonstrated ability in staff training & development, team management, and supervising diverse teams in hospitality settings.
- Experience in restaurant management including shift management, budgeting, customer service excellence, and operational oversight.
- Previous hotel or fine dining experience is a plus but not required; hospitality management skills are highly valued.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining high levels of customer service during serving or bar operations.
- Skilled in interviewing potential team members and fostering a positive work environment focused on teamwork and growth.
