Job Description:
Summary:
The Distribution Specialist is essential in maintaining an effective Patient Blood Management program. This individual will work closely with the Transfusion Safety Officer and client hospitals to assure adequate blood supply for the region. The Specialist is responsible for blood product inventory coordination throughout the health system and external clients including shipment of blood products, procurement of special and rare products, importing and exporting of blood products, ordering supplies, creation and review of daily reports, and other duties as assigned. The Specialist must possess excellent communication skills in serving as the primary contact for Transfusion Services throughout the region.
Requirements:
Three years experience in Donor Processing or related area preferred. Excellent customer service, critical thinking skills, and ability to organize and multi-task are required.
