A growing precision manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Level 3 CNC Machinist for its weekend shift.
This position is ideal for a skilled machinist who can set up and operate multi-axis CNC equipment, read blueprints, apply GD&T, troubleshoot production issues, and consistently produce high-quality precision parts.
You will work with advanced CNC equipment to manufacture components used in the aerospace, medical, defense, agriculture, and industrial sectors.
- Set up and operate multi-axis CNC machines
- Produce parts according to blueprints, specifications, and quality requirements
- Make machine adjustments and offsets to maintain proper dimensions
- Troubleshoot setup, tooling, machine, and production issues
- Inspect completed parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and work instructions
- Apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing principles
- Monitor machines for defects, tool wear, or performance concerns
- Complete production documentation accurately
- Perform routine equipment checks and basic preventative maintenance
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Communicate production or quality concerns to supervisors and team members
- Support other machinists and operators when needed
- At least three years of CNC machine operation or machining experience
- CNC setup and troubleshooting experience strongly preferred
- Experience with CNC lathes, mills, Swiss-style, gantry-style, or mill-turn machines
- Experience with Murata or Star machinery is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Working knowledge of GD&T
- Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools
- Understanding of machining and production procedures
- Ability to identify and correct machining or quality issues
- Strong mechanical and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
- Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift
- Willingness to learn, accept coaching, and contribute as part of a team
Candidates with experience as a CNC Machinist, CNC Setup Machinist, CNC Lathe Machinist, Swiss Machinist, Mill-Turn Machinist, CNC Operator, or CNC Technician are encouraged to apply.
