Fred Smith Company is currently searching for an experienced Survey Project Manager. We are a self-perform heavy civil contractor working in the greater Raleigh and Triangle area. Pay will commensurate with experience; all employees are eligible after 90 days for benefits such as health, dental and vision insurance and paid time off.
Responsibilities and duties:
- Plan daily activities of multiple projects to meet productivity goals for field crews
- Review and monitor field crews in Construction Staking, As-Built Surveys, and Topographic Surveys
- Computations for construction stakeout including site work, residential subdivisions and roadway projects
- Prepare Topographic surveys and As-Built surveys of completed work
- Draw 3D models for site and roadway projects
- Review plans and CAD for errors
- Monitor job cost and communicate job changes with survey department manager
- Assist in training field crews and junior office staff
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of surveying experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work independently and as a team member
- Proficient with AutoCAD and Carlson Civil Suite
- Working knowledge of Carlson SurveCE, Robotic Total Stations and Topcon GPS Technology.
