Material Handler
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Shifts Available: 1st Shift & 2nd Shift
Job Summary
We are seeking reliable and motivated Material Handlers to join our team. This position is responsible for preparing, packaging, and moving materials while maintaining quality and safety standards throughout the facility. Candidates should be comfortable working with hand and power tools, operating forklifts, and performing physical labor in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Build skids, crates, and boxes for packing and shipping customer orders
- Operate equipment and tools, including:
- Crosscut saw
- Miter saw
- Nail gun
- Staple gun
- Banding equipment
- Perform quality inspections to ensure products meet company standards
- Properly mark, label, and stencil shipments according to customer specifications
- Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment
- Load, unload, move, and organize materials throughout the facility
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all company safety policies and quality procedures
- Assist with routine equipment maintenance and record keeping
- Participate in team meetings and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Forklift experience required
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials throughout the shift
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Dependable attendance and reliable transportation
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Previous warehouse, shipping, or manufacturing experience is preferred
