Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the lawn maintenance crew, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality results
- Lead landscaping projects including planting, trimming, mowing, edging, and fertilizing to enhance outdoor aesthetics
- Oversee irrigation system installation and maintenance to ensure optimal water management
- Conduct inspections of work sites to ensure safety protocols are followed and maintenance standards are upheld
- Provide training and mentorship to team members on landscape techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures
- Manage equipment maintenance schedules and ensure proper use of tools for lawn care, gardening, and construction tasks
- Collaborate with clients and project managers to plan landscaping layouts and execute projects according to specifications
Requirements
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, landscaping, or horticulture with a focus on lawn care and garden management
- Supervising experience leading teams in outdoor or construction environments
- Strong knowledge of lawn care practices, irrigation systems, tree care, gardening, and general horticulture principles
- Ability to operate landscaping equipment safely and efficiently
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members toward shared goals
- Knowledge of safety standards related to outdoor work environments and equipment use
- Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting, bending, digging, and standing for extended periods
