The Nursery & Order Fulfillment Assistant helps keep our nursery, retail space, and fulfillment operations running smoothly. This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on plant care, picking plants for orders, packing shipments, and helping customers.
You’ll spend your days caring for plants, pulling and preparing orders, helping retail customers choose plants, assisting with local pickups, and keeping the nursery organized and running efficiently.
We’re looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking, organized, positive, and eager to learn. You should enjoy working with plants, helping people, staying active, and working outdoors. Nursery or retail experience is a plus, but not required.
Part-time, hourly position reporting to the Nursery Team Lead.
Hours: Monday–Thursday & Saturday, 9:00 AM–2:00 PM
Schedule may adjust seasonally.
ResponsibilitiesPlant Care & Nursery
- Water, prune, weed, transplant, and maintain plants throughout the nursery.
- Monitor plant health and assist with pest management.
- Help propagate, pot, consolidate, and organize plants.
- Keep greenhouses, workstations, and retail areas clean and organized.
- Assist with receiving and organizing nursery supplies and inventory.
Order Fulfillment
- Pick and pull plants accurately for customer orders.
- Prepare plants for shipment, including pruning, watering, cleaning, potting, labeling, and packing.
- Pack and ship plants and garden products efficiently.
- Help with local order pickups and ensure customers receive the correct orders.
- Identify a wide variety of edible, tropical, fruiting, and medicinal plants.
Retail & Customer Service
- Welcome and assist customers in our retail nursery.
- Help customers choose plants based on their space, growing conditions, and goals.
- Answer basic plant care questions and provide a friendly customer experience.
- Keep retail plants healthy, watered, organized, and ready for sale.
Team & Physical Requirements
- Work efficiently and collaboratively with the team.
- Follow instructions and maintain accuracy and quality.
- Communicate clearly and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Take initiative and help solve problems as they arise.
- Be comfortable standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, pushing, and lifting.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in Florida heat, rain, humidity, and cold.
