CNC Machinist & Programmer

Primary Responsibilities
- Precision Machining – Set up, program (Mastercam), and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce precision components for custom machinery & Tooling.
- Interpret Specifications — Work from drawings, shop orders, and verbal instructions; complete standard machining calculations for dimensions, tooling, speeds, and feeds.
- Operate Equipment Safely — Ensure safe operation and confirm preventative maintenance has been completed on assigned equipment.
- Quality Control — Monitor and verify the quality of machined materials throughout production.
- Follow Safety Standards — Adhere to all company safety rules and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience setting up and operating CNC mills and/or lathes.
- Experience with Mastercam or similar CAM software preferred.
- Basic knowledge of machine shop equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to accurately use measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, and other basic machine shop measurement tools.
- Basic math skills and the ability to perform shop calculations.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Occasional overtime as needed to meet customer schedules
- Valid driver's license.
Physical Requirements
- Work in a manufacturing environment with moderate noise and seasonal temperature changes.
- Stand and walk for most of the workday.
- Frequently lift and move materials weighing up to 65 pounds.
