SUMMARY
JC Finley is looking for an energetic self-starter who is looking to grow their drafting skills in an exciting environment. The ideal candidate will have formal CAD drafting training and previous experience with SolidWorks or Fusion. This position will focus on our custom acrylic retail countertop display products. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate and someone interested in utilizing their creativity to design retail POS displays.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides computer aided design (CAD) drafting, prepares drawings and schematics from a variety of specifications, layouts, blueprints, and sketches
- Utilizes SolidWorks or Fusion software and other techniques, standards, and tools to prepare technical drawings
- Transforms initial rough product designs into working documents utilizing CAD software
- Reviews engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards
- Review blueprints and breakout part piece by piece to ensure correct construction specifications
- Interact with clients regarding display design parameters and specifications
- Perform other duties as assigned
GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS
- A minimum of an Associates Degree or Certificate in Drafting or commensurate experience
- Must have experience with SolidWorks or Fusion
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be quality conscious and highly detail oriented.
- Must be able to work effectively with little or no supervision.
- Must have the ability to read blueprints.
- Attendance is an essential function of this position.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Must be able to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- Self-motivated and able to multi-task.
- Ability to perform several tasks concurrently.
EDUCATION:
- High school
- 2 year technical school preferred
EXPERIENCE:
- 2 years of SolidWorks or Fusion programming (preferred)
