Weddings & Events Lead

Bartz Viviano is looking for a Weddings & Events Lead to join our team. This is a hands-on, growth-focused role built for someone who can move seamlessly from a client consultation to prepping flowers in the backroom - and who takes pride in doing both exceptionally well. You’ll have a clear path toward a leadership position within our weddings and events department.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
CLIENT & SALES
- Meet and communicate (in person, phone, or email) with prospective wedding and event clients, representing Bartz Viviano with professionalism and warmth.
- Create proposals that align with each client’s vision and budget, and turn inquiries into booked events through genuine relationship-building.
- Serve as the main point of contact throughout the planning process, addressing questions and concerns promptly and proactively.
- Manage payment collection and ensure all invoices are paid in full prior to events.
EVENT PRODUCTION & PHYSICAL WORK
- Coordinate with our Flower Buyer to order correct flowers and quantities for each event.
- Roll up your sleeves for hands-on event work: physically prepping floral arrangements and materials, transporting supplies, and leading setup and teardown at multiple events each weekend.
- Collaborate with the Design Manager and Assistant Design Manager to ensure floral styling meets client expectations.
DAILY BACKROOM & STORE SUPPORT
- Contribute to backroom operations and daily tasks. This is a full-participation role, not just events on weekends.
- Support the sales floor during peak customer times and help fulfill orders for gourmet baskets, bouquets, and other items.
- Learn design tasks and assist the design team wherever needed.
- Pitch in during holiday production periods: Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Thanksgiving through Christmas.

- A strong communicator and relationship-builder who can represent the Bartz Viviano brand with confidence and care.
- A hard worker who thrives in a fast-paced environment and never shies away from physical tasks. Lifting, loading, setup, and breakdown are a real part of this job.
- An eye for design. You notice the details that make an event feel intentional and can translate a client’s aesthetic vision into something beautiful and cohesive.
- Genuinely curious about the floral industry and eager to grow your knowledge of flowers, seasonality, and sourcing, and to stay current on wedding and event design trends.
- Flexible and team-oriented. Willing to jump in wherever the day calls for it, without needing to be asked twice.
- Comfortable working Saturdays and seasonally longer hours during holiday weeks.
- Has prior event and/or floral experience.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week
Compensation: Hourly to start, with a commission component on weddings and events after training period is completed.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
