American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist for a Cardiovascular Invasive unit, requiring a minimum of 3 years of experience and proficiency in cardiac, vascular, and EP diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Cardiovascular Invasive unit at an acute care hospital in Peoria, IL
-
Procedures include invasive coronary/vascular/EP diagnostic and interventional procedures, device implantation, and hemodynamic monitoring
-
4x10-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
-
Weekend and holiday shifts on a rotation basis

May be required to float to other Carle Health system facilities

Epic EMR experience required
-
Minimum of 3 years of applicable Cath Lab / Cardiovascular Invasive experience
-
Associate's Degree in a related field OR certificate of completion for a Radiology program
-
Current BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association)
-
ARRT registration in Radiology
-
IEMA (Illinois state) license in Radiology Technology — license required if applicable

Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation, EKG interpretation, and arrhythmia recognition
-
Knowledge of EP concepts and fluoroscopic anatomy and physiology
-
Experience with moderate sedation administration and protocol
-
Competency in sterile technique, patient preparation and draping, and procedural supply selection
-
Knowledge of radiation safety and imaging equipment operation

Experience with Epic EMR

Assist cardiologists in performing invasive coronary/vascular/EP diagnostic and interventional procedures using specific techniques
-
Operate electrical and imaging equipment including monophasic and biphasic defibrillators and physiologic monitoring equipment

Manage digital archiving systems, query archived images, and create CDs for transmission of patient information

Maintain aseptic technique and assist in passing sterile guidewires, catheters, and other devices
-
Collaborate with research RN/coordinators in laboratory-based research activities

Train and mentor team members and interact professionally with vendors regarding equipment and supply use

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract

Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment at any Carle Health location for more than 1 year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning
