Duties
- Greet guests promptly with enthusiasm and genuine warmth to set a positive tone for their visit
- Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using restaurant table management systems such as Toast
- Escort guests to their tables, ensuring comfort and satisfaction throughout their dining experience
- Answer phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette, assist with reservation bookings, and manage waitlists
- Maintain organized seating charts and coordinate table turnovers to optimize restaurant flow
- Provide exceptional guest services by addressing questions, special requests, and feedback courteously
- Support food safety standards by communicating guest needs clearly to the kitchen and service staff
Requirements
- Have to be over 18 and not currently in high school
- Previous host/hostess experience or food service background preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
- Strong communication skills with the ability to handle phone calls professionally and courteously
- Basic math skills for managing reservations, waitlists, and guest counts accurately
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management tools and POS systems such as Toast is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills to manage seating arrangements efficiently in a busy environment
- Demonstrated customer service aptitude with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Knowledge of hospitality standards, guest relations, and food safety practices is advantageous
