As an Automation Apprentice at Lufkin Industries, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining Lufkin Automation equipment under direct supervision, diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical/electronic issues, and ensuring efficient operation and installation of related equipment.
Responsibilities
- Service and maintain Lufkin Automation equipment under direct supervision
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with electrical/electronic equipment
- Perform on-site installation of electrical/electronic equipment, including conduits
- Operate various electronic tools and equipment, such as auto cranes and stud guns
- Assess and address well-optimization issues independently or with the help of technical specialists
- Collaborate with other business entities and manage customer service standards and quality
- Follow HSE procedures rigorously
- Other projects as required
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift 55 lbs and perform physical activities in different types of weather conditions
Essential Characteristics
- Basic computer skills, including MS Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and in team settings
- Experience in oilfield operations, automation, and instrumentation (preferred)
- Strong commitment to safety and quality standards
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage inventory
