Job Summary
Looking for those wanting to join a dynamic manufacturing team as a Machine Operator/Extruder located in the Port of Catoosa. In this vital role, you will operate and monitor extrusion machinery to produce high-quality plastic products efficiently and safely. You’ll set up machines for scheduled orders, run equipment safely and efficiently to hit production, quality, and waste goals, and jump in to troubleshoot issues to keep lines running at peak performance. Rotating Shift: Working a 2/2/3 Schedule - Rotates Day or Night every 4 weeks (28 days)
12 hour shifts: 6:00-6:00
Pay: $20/hour
Essential Duties and Tasks:
- Operate machine within standard production targets and waste limits.
- Perform troubleshooting of equipment and perform adjustments.
- Ensure the quality of the products by identifying film issues.
- Track and record production, waste, and material usage.
- Assist maintenance with machine repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Ensure that the day-to-day operation of the machine is consistent with the policies and procedures which make up the Quality System
- Support and maintain all activities related to Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards, such as machine center cleaning schedules, checklists, and audits.
- Support and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by following all workplace regulations, policies, and initiatives, including reporting all first aid injuries, accidents, and workplace hazards.
Required Qualifications
- Are able to maintain a work schedule of 12-hour rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends, holidays and overtime.
- Two or more years of manufacturing/ related industrial experience or is preferred.
- Have basic computer knowledge, mechanical aptitude, and good math skills.
- Candidates must be able to lift 50 lbs., ascend and descend stairs, perform bending, twisting, stooping and crouching motions.
- All employees are required to wear required PPE including ear, eye, hair and toe protection, as regular exposure to high noise levels, dust will occur.
- Are 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States.
- Have High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ years of continuous work experience.
- Can pass a pre-employment assessment and a pre-employment drug + background screening (No felonies in 7 years, nothing violent or pending / FULL 10-panel drug screen)
- Can pass post-offer / pre-hire Physical Abilities Test (PAT)
- Ability to read a measuring tape.
- Ability to read, write, and understand simple and concise instructions or information.
- Intermediate use of required gaging instruments and the application of such instruments.
- Regular predictable, and reliable attendance with reliable transportation
