Job Functions
- Completes daily task list to company specified standards
- Care of all plants on the property, mowing grass, weeding, planting, digging, use of chemicals
- Removes weeds and thins ground cover
- Plants replacement flowers, bushes and trees
- Maintains and waters plants
- Removes undesirable landscaping
- Major pruning and trimming of bushes and grass
- Sprays chemicals
- Operates mechanical equipment: lawn mower, weed wacker, hedge trimmer and blower
- Performs major landscaping projects
- Performs major equipment maintenance
- Performs major irrigation repairs
- Must have friendly customer-service oriented demeanor
- Assist with events set-up
- Assists in cleaning RV pads
- Assists in identifying diseased landscaping or irrigation issues to senior employee
- Assists in maintaining inventory levels
- Follows all schedules as set by senior employee
- Has superior working knowledge of plants, soils, pest and weed control
- Reports safety issues to manager
- Must be able to work on irrigation controllers
- Must be able to repair sprinkler systems
- Understanding of irrigation systems
Requirements
- English communication skills
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be available on weekends and holidays
- Must be able to lift 50lbs, stand on feet for long periods of time, requires bending, kneeling, lifting, standing and carrying
- Knowledgeable in commercial landscape equipment in use and preventive maintenance
- Involves heavy lifting, digging and carrying equipment
- Knowledge of operation of lawn mower, weed wacker, hedge trimmer, and blower
- Ability to work with little supervision
- 2 years irrigation experience
