Paid Training in an Essential, Recession Proof Industry
Local septic company serving King and Snohomish counties is now offering a position for a pumper trainee. Our paid training program will prepare you for a full time pumper position and will include education on septic systems and local code requirements with an emphasis on safety. Please note that the minimum age for this position is 23 years old.
To be considered for this position, a candidate must have:
· A current WA State CDL License (Class A or B) with tanker endorsement
· Applicants must have at least 2 years of CDL driving experience and a clean driving record
· A professional and courteous demeanor, especially with our customers
· Ability to sit, stand, stoop, crawl, reach, and lift heavy objects
· A desire to grow with our organization
Duties of this position will include:
· Driving the pump truck between job sites and to the disposal site
· Pre-trip safety checks, daily vehicle inspection records, cleaning truck
· Locating septic tank lids and digging them up with a shovel
· Pulling and connecting hoses to vacuum out tank contents
· Examining septic system for any needed follow-up work
· Communicating findings and costs with customers
· Performing all tasks in a thorough, respectful, and professional manner.
The regular schedule is Monday – Friday starting at 7 AM. Earlier start times may be required occasionally depending on business needs. Weekend and overtime hours are available, as well as opportunities for bonuses/tips. Overnight work may also be available on occasion.
