Adjunct Faculty Positions — Business, Theology, and General Education
Horizon University invites applications for adjunct faculty to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Business, Theology, and General Education. Adjunct faculty are appointed on a part-time, course-by-course basis according to institutional and program needs. Courses may be offered on-campus, online, or in a hybrid format.
Faculty responsibilities include teaching assigned courses, following approved syllabi, assessing student learning, providing timely feedback, maintaining student records, using the University’s learning management system, participating in assessment and curriculum improvement activities when requested, and supporting student success.
Applicants should possess appropriate academic qualifications for the assigned discipline and level of instruction. Undergraduate faculty should normally hold a master’s degree in the teaching discipline or a master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching field. Graduate faculty should normally hold an earned doctorate or terminal degree in the discipline or a closely related field. Relevant professional, ministry, executive, or teaching experience may also be considered where appropriate.
Areas of need include business administration, management, leadership, marketing, finance, accounting, economics, entrepreneurship, theology, biblical studies, ministry, ethics, English, communication, mathematics, humanities, social sciences, and other general education subjects.
Prior college teaching experience, online teaching experience, and familiarity with learning management systems are preferred.
