Foundry Production Technician
General Description:
As a foundry production technician your primary function will be to work closely with your shift leader to operate designated equipment inside the foundry.
Responsibilities:
- Perform iron and sand quality testing in the lab
- Perform assigned manufacturing tasks safely
- Review shop cards and/or work instructions to complete assigned manufacturing tasks (examples include: making shell cores, making molds, shaking out molds, de-gating castings, grinding castings, scaling containers)
- Timely completion of online and in person training
- Use computer terminal to log in/out of jobs, record production, etc.
- Work as a constructive/reliable team member
Qualifications:
Required
- Authorized to work in the US
- Reliable transportation
- Philosophically aligned with company’s Guiding Principles
- Experience working in a constructive team environment
- History of consistent work attendance
- Ability to read and follow work instructions
- Willingness to work long hours when required
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a repetitive basis with no concern of injury
- Ability to work in a hot environment during the summer months
- Ability to work on feet throughout shift
- Ability to wear required PPE
Preferred
- High school degree or GED equivalent
- Experience working safely in a manufacturing environment
- Experience running lab testing equipment, core machines, mold machines, blast machines, snag grinders, barinders, or other manufacturing equipment
- Forklift certification, operating a forklift in a tight environment

Normal Schedule:
- Hours - 6:30 pm to 5:00 am
Compensation:
- Base Pay: $17.00 to $23.00, plus $2.00 shift differential
