Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Anatomic Pathology Supervisor to lead our anatomic pathology laboratory team. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate all activities within the anatomic pathology laboratory, including specimen collection, processing, and analysis
- Oversee laboratory techniques such as tissue embedding, sectioning, staining, immunohistochemistry, and special stains
- Manage laboratory information systems (LIS) for accurate data entry, tracking, and reporting of results
- Ensure adherence to quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) protocols to maintain high standards of accuracy and reliability
- Monitor compliance with safety regulations and aseptic techniques during specimen handling and processing
- Oversee scheduling management for laboratory personnel to optimize workflow efficiency
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives related to laboratory procedures and data management systems
- Facilitate training programs for new staff on laboratory techniques, medical terminology, and documentation practices
- Prepare, verify, and maintain adequate reagent and supply inventory, initiating procurement requests as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biology or related field; advanced degrees or certifications preferred
- Extensive clinical laboratory experience with a focus on anatomic pathology or research laboratories
- Proven supervisory experience in a hospital or clinical setting with strong leadership skills
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques
- Experience/proficiency managing digital workflow
- Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS), document management systems and compliance management tools
- Knowledge of physiology and anatomy principles relevant to tissue analysis and specimen processing
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and laboratory procedures related to clinical trials or research studies
- Excellent analysis skills for interpreting complex data sets and ensuring quality assurance standards are met
- Adequate or above skill set with PC-related tasks (i.e. email, MS Office, LIS, Digital slide software)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to safety protocols such as aseptic technique and blood sampling safety measures

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
