Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring quick processing of sales transactions
- Upsell menu items including cocktails, wines, spirits, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Handle cash transactions accurately, process payments via POS systems like OpenTable or other platforms, and give correct change
- Maintain a clean and organized service station, including bussing tables and assisting with food handling and sanitation protocols
- Support food preparation tasks when needed, ensuring food safety standards are met in accordance with health regulations
- Engage with guests to foster positive relationships, address inquiries promptly, and resolve any concerns professionally
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant setting is highly preferred; fine dining experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is advantageous
- Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively in a busy environment while delivering exceptional guest service
- Experience with food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations within the food industry
- Excellent communication skills coupled with a friendly attitude to build guest relations and promote sales through upselling techniques
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing sales transactions efficiently
