*Job Summary*
The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic will install, service, repair, adjust, and test machines, devices, moving parts and equipment to ensure effective and efficient operation. Must be able to identify the correct tools, equipment and computer program to use to make repairs and adjustments. Maintains production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment. The ideal candidate must be able to provide his or her own tools to accomplish this job, including socket sets, ratchet, wrenches, hex keys, sledge and ball peen hammers and mallets, chisels, screw drivers, pliers, vice grips, channel locks and a tool cart.
*Duties*
- Properly install, repair or service machinery, equipment, and support systems as required.
- Work directly with production and management to problem-solve and correct production issues that will ensure maximum production efficiency.
- Properly troubleshoot and maintain production lines.
- Properly implement PM systems for all equipment, including mechanical adjustments, inspections and minor repairs.
- Execute predictive and preventive maintenance practices for all production equipment.
- Identify and correct potential equipment problems in a timely manner.
- Complete and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Assist in implementation of projects, as required.
- Work occasional overtime hours and weekends as needed.
*Qualifications*
- A high school diploma, some college or trade school desired, but not required.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years or more of relevant, related experience.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Must be able to fit between fixed machinery, climb, stoop and bend to access machinery parts to be replaced or repaired.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Must be able to operate both mechanical and power operated tools, have own tools.
- Experience with disassembling and reassembling industrial machinery.
