Description:
Location.
We live in South Boulder's Table Mesa neighborhood. Many parks nearby including Martin Park, walking trails and library.
Summary/About Us.
We are a busy working parent household, and have had several wonderful full-time nanny relationships over the years! With our youngest starting full-time school this year, we are transitioning to part-time care, after school.
Our values include consistency, play, and creativity. The girls love crafts, cooking/baking, singing and dancing to music (putting on shows), and playing in the backyard with water or on our swing set.
Crafting is probably the biggest favorite of our house right now, followed by putting on shows/music.
Both enjoy swimming but we don't expect that nanny to do that unless they LOVE it too (example: our current nanny does, but we think it's reasonable not to want to do that with 2 kids -- it's a LOT!). A dream nanny would occasionally have some activities for these types of things, but we know 2 hours a day isn't a ton of time.
We have worked with several career nannies, and appreciate the expertise and time-management skills of a seasoned professional. Nannies who have raised their own kids are welcome.
We have a cleaning service, so assistance with general tidying and dishes will be basic, just between cleaning visits.
Sick child care.
We ask that candidates be comfortable with occasional sick child care. We do not expect care of highly contagious illness, such as the first 24 hours of strep or COVID, or high fevers.
Vaccine needs.
- flu shot during the winter season
- has received MMR (measles, mumps, rubella)
- has received COVID vaccine
Schedule
- We can offer a nanny role at 10 hours per week from 3:30 to 5:30pm.
- If candidate prefers, Family Assistant opportunity is an option, to include family laundry and a weekly 3-hour date night, for a total of 15 hours per week. You'd start at 1:30 or 2:30pm, once or twice a week, for laundry.
- We like to maintain a set date night, and can offer date night hours as well to reach 15 hours per week. It's usually Thursday but we are flexible.
- Our priority is after school care, 3:30pm to 5:30pm, and a date night, so you are not interested in doing family laundry, you are still welcome to apply!
Pets
We have two cats, one is fairly shy and the other is friendly and will be around. No pet care is needed; candidates will only need to be comfortable with cats and not allergic.
Work from home details
We have an office space in downtown Boulder and LOVE being out of the house every day. We only work from home typically if there's a vendor where we need to be onsite for our input (HVAC repair, etc.).
Pay
$32 to 35 per hour. We plan to continue using professional payroll (we use Homepay) and will provide a W-2.
