Duties
- Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs.
- Prepare detailed auto estimates for repairs and maintenance using dealership management software and automotive diagnostics tools.
- Communicate repair recommendations clearly, explaining necessary services such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmission work, suspension, tire service, diesel engine repairs, alignments, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repairs.
- Upsell additional services and maintenance packages that enhance vehicle performance and safety while meeting customer needs.
- Coordinate with service technicians to prioritize repairs, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of work orders.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain detailed records of all service sales and customer interactions.
- Foster excellent customer relationships through professional service writing, follow-up calls, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the repair process.
Experience
- Proven dealership experience or automotive service management background preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics, repair procedures, and vehicle maintenance.
- Familiarity with auto estimating software and automotive repair procedures across various systems including transmissions, oil changes, brake systems, suspension components, tire services, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brakes, alignments, and auto body repairs.
- Demonstrated ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining integrity and transparency with customers.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and building trust.
- Experience in auto sales or automobile sales is a plus but not required; a passion for automotive technology is essential.
