Animal Health Center in Wichita, Kansas is a privately owned small animal clinic seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant/Technician to help us provide outstanding care to our patients and clients.
In this role, you’ll be an essential part of our medical team. Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments, check patients in and out
- Manage patient records and maintain accurate data entry
- Providing hands-on patient care and monitoring
- Communicating effectively with clients and staff
- Collecting and processing lab samples
- Taking radiographs and recording vitals
- Preparing for and assisting in surgery
- Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment
Our ideal candidate is a team player who is reliable, detail-oriented, and passionate about veterinary medicine. Qualifications include:
- Previous experience in a veterinary or medical clinic
- Excellent attendance and accountability
- Ability to lift 30 lbs. unassisted
- Adaptability in a fast-paced environment and comfortable with multitasking and following directions
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Spanish fluency a plus
Schedule & Training
- Availability Monday–Saturday
- Cross-training in both reception and clinical responsibilities
