Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers and assisting them with their inquiries.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for processing transactions.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Assist with stocking shelves, merchandising products, and maintaining an organized sales floor.
- Conduct product demonstrations to enhance customer engagement and promote sales.
- Upsell products when appropriate to enhance the customer shopping experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and store environment.
- Support supervisory tasks as needed, including training new associates and overseeing daily operations.
- Exhibit strong phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred.
- Familiarity with basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to assist a diverse customer base.
- Experience in merchandising and stocking is beneficial.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
