Job Overview - 3rd Shift Position (over night)
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Lathe Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and program CNC lathes to produce precision components with exceptional quality. Your expertise in machining, blueprint reading, and technical troubleshooting will drive efficiency and excellence in our production processes. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC lathe machines, including Fanuc control systems, ensuring adherence to specifications and safety standards
- Program CNC lathes using CAD/CAM software to optimize machining processes and improve productivity
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and engineering specifications
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify part dimensions
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime
- Select appropriate tooling and tooling adjustments for various machining tasks involving plastics injection molding or metal components
- Follow lean manufacturing principles to enhance workflow efficiency and reduce waste
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating CNC lathe machines, preferably with Fanuc controls or similar systems
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming, CAD (Computer-Aided Design), CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing), and blueprint reading
- Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of machining processes, tooling selection, and precision measurement techniques
- Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM) is a plus
- Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly tools as needed
- Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machine settings
- Knowledge of manufacturing environments including plastics injection molding and lean manufacturing practices
- Valid certification or experience in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines

Pay: $25.50 - $40.50 per hour
