- Provide high-quality, patient-centered physical therapy treatment under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Implement established treatment plans for a variety of orthopaedic conditions
- Provide therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, manual therapy, and other interventions appropriate to the patient's plan of care
- Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate progress, concerns, and changes in status to the supervising Physical Therapist
- Provide individualized patient care with a focus on one-on-one interaction, functional outcomes, and patient satisfaction
- Educate patients on exercises, home programs, and strategies to support recovery and long-term wellness
- Collaborate with Physical Therapists, physicians, occupational therapists, other PTAs, and rehabilitation professionals
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented clinic environment and assist coworkers as needed
- Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Active Tennessee Physical Therapist Assistant license or eligibility
- Experience with orthopaedic patient populations preferred
- Strong clinical skills and ability to effectively implement a therapist's plan of care
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently while functioning effectively as part of a collaborative clinical team
- Interest in professional development and continuing education
- Flexibility to work at other KOC Therapy locations when needed to support staffing and patient care
The University location is the projected primary work location for this position. KOC Therapy operates multiple outpatient therapy locations throughout the Knoxville area, and team members may occasionally be asked to float to or provide coverage at another location based on staffing needs, patient volume, vacations, or other operational needs. We value team members who are flexible, collaborative, and willing to support the broader KOC Therapy team when needed.
