Porsche Hawaii is now hiring an Automotive Technician-Intermediate.
The Technician-Intermediate repairs, inspects, and maintains mechanical problems that are present in a customer’s vehicle. The Technician-Intermediate is expected to uphold the highest ethical and professional standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Perform work as outlined on repair order in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
- Communicate with the Parts department to obtain needed parts.
- Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer.
- Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
- Advise Service Consultant immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised.
- Road-test vehicles or refer to the test-technician to quality-check work performed when required.
- Attend factory-sponsored training classes and complete web-based training as required by the manufacturer.
- Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.
- Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes.
- Complete 100% of MPIs thoroughly and add lines for each issue.
- Complete DIT sheets where applicable.
- Other duties assigned.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
- Comply with all federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Present recommendations and assist in implementing quality initiatives with team.
- Become a brand ambassador by having extensive brand and product knowledge to help cross-sell, up-sell, grow customer relationships and foster loyalty.
- Create customer and employee interactions that foster positive outcomes.
- Provide support on any other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- ASE Certification is preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude is required.
- Knowledge of different engines, components, and systems.
- Experience in manual dexterity, able to operate, understand and is comfortable with a wide variety of hand tools and equipment.
- Foreign Make and Model experience, helpful.
- Possession of a valid and current Safety Inspector’s License is a plus.
- Must have a current driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle abstract.
- Minimum 1 year previous experience with proven efficiency and productivity. Will also consider Technical or other relevant educational program graduates.
