Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced and communicative Residential Service Electrician to join our team. The primary focus of this role is handling Service Calls, including troubleshooting and minor installations. Additionally, a crucial part of the job is identifying and selling necessary upgrades and additional services to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handling service calls: diagnosing and fixing electrical issues in residential homes
- Performing knob-and-tube rewiring, outlet and circuit installation, lighting upgrades, panel replacement and more
- Troubleshooting electrical systems efficiently and professionally
- Installing outlets, circuits, light fixtures, and other residential electrical components
- Upselling additional services: identifying potential electrical improvements and offering solutions to clients
- Providing excellent customer service and clear communication with homeowners
- Ensuring all work complies with NEC regulations and safety standards
Requirements:
- Fluent English (must be able to communicate effectively with clients)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in residential electrical work
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose issues quickly
- Ability to sell and explain additional work to customers in a professional manner
- Independent and proactive problem-solving mindset
- Familiarity with NEC codes and safety regulations
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools
