Alleghenies Unlimited Care Providers is looking for a Behavioral Support Professional who is dedicated and passionate about helping individuals improve their quality of life. The successful applicant will focus on individuals across Western Pennsylvania serving Lawrence, Butler, Beaver and Allegheny counties.
Behavioral Support Professional
- Location: Zelienople, PA and Western, PA
- Full-time position
- Pay - $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
What does a Behavioral Support Professional Do?
- Provides functional assessment and development strategies to support IDD individuals experiencing behavioral difficulties.
- Builds and manages Behavioral Support services program.
- Be actively involved in appropriate support planning meetings.
- Develops and provides ongoing review of Behavior Support Plans in collaboration with individuals, family and team members.
- Validates that all documentation, reporting and record keeping is compliant with all regulations and policy.
- Properly addresses needs and conditions of individuals per support plan.
- Make certain all training is provided to individuals, staff, family and team members as appropriate to ensure all aspects of Behavioral Support Plans are understood and followed.
- Monitors and evaluates the progress of behavior.
- Manages compliance and documentation through internal audits.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services required. Master’s degree in Human Services preferred.
- Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA) and Positive Behavior Support Certificates Preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with I/DD waiver required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in behavioral program required.
- Valid Driver’s license
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in a changing environment
