Job Summary
Autotrust Repairs ~ Leader Auto Repair in Montgomery, TX ~ is seeking an experienced Auto Repair Shop Manager to lead our automotive service center with enthusiasm and expertise. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and drive the shop’s success through effective management of technicians, parts, and workflow.
Duties
- Manage daily shop operations, including scheduling, workflow coordination, and quality control to ensure timely and accurate vehicle repairs
- Lead, motivate, and supervise technicians and support staff to maintain high performance standards and excellent customer service
- Oversee automotive diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance services such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, alignments, suspension work, tire services, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and more
- Implement effective upselling strategies by recommending additional services like auto estimating, service writing, vehicle inspections, and maintenance packages to increase revenue
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry regulations while maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Handle customer inquiries professionally; provide clear explanations of repair procedures and estimates to foster trust and satisfaction
- Manage parts inventory, ordering supplies as needed to keep operations running smoothly
- Oversee cash handling procedures accurately during transactions and ensure proper documentation of all services performed
Experience
- Proven experience or extensive background in auto service management with a strong understanding of automotive repair processes
- Demonstrated mechanic experience with knowledge of automotive diagnostics, transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, alignment, suspension systems, tire service, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brakes, and auto body repair
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients
- Experience in auto estimating software and service writing practices to prepare accurate repair orders
- Ability to lead a team effectively while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with sales techniques related to automobile sales and upselling additional services
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures ensuring accuracy during transactions
