Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated licensed Journeyman Plumber to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across various residential and commercial construction projects. Your expertise will ensure that plumbing installations meet safety standards, Central Arkansas building codes, and project specifications. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing your comprehensive knowledge of plumbing to deliver high-quality results efficiently and safely.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in residential (service work, remodels, and new construction) and commercial buildings.
- Work with copper, PVC, and Wirsbo PEX piping systems.
- Install, service, and maintain instantaneous (tankless) water heaters.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans to accurately execute plumbing layouts.
- Collaborate with construction management teams to coordinate plumbing activities with other trades.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely to complete plumbing tasks efficiently on-site.
- Conduct construction inspections to ensure strict compliance with safety protocols and Central Arkansas plumbing codes.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections completed for project documentation.
Skills & Requirements
- Must possess a valid Journeyman Plumber License.
- 4+ years of experience in residential plumbing, including service work, remodels, and new home construction.
- Proven proficiency with ProPress systems and soldering copper.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings related to building construction.
- Ability to operate equipment safely on worksites while adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills for coordinating with team members and understanding project requirements.
- Must possess a clean driving record and be able to pass a drug test.
Position Details & Compensation
- Starting Pay: From $24.00 per hour. Starting pay is subject to increase following a standard probationary period, based on demonstrated field knowledge, skill level, and performance.
- Hours & Availability Note: This role begins as part-time due to current project volume, with the opportunity to transition to full-time and overtime as our schedule picks up. The ideal candidate will have a flexible schedule and the ability to adapt to varying workloads during both peak and slower periods.
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
