Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing a variety of administrative tasks. Duties
- Greet patients warmly and efficiently manage patient check-in and check-out processes using dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix
- Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verifications
- Schedule appointments accurately, coordinate patient flow, and manage appointment reminders
- Collect payments, process medical collections, and perform basic medical billing tasks in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Answer multi-line phone systems professionally, handle patient inquiries with excellent phone etiquette, and provide outstanding patient service
- Assist with intake procedures, update patient information, and support clinic operations related to medical administrative support and front desk responsibilities
Requirements
- Proven experience in a medical or dental office environment with strong familiarity in clinic management and medical office experience
- Understanding of dental terminology, CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) coding
- Experience with insurance verification processes and handling medical collections is highly desirable
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent communication skills with bilingual abilities preferred to serve diverse patient populations
- Ability to maintain HIPAA compliance and uphold confidentiality standards at all times
- Familiarity with multi-line phone systems, 10-key typing skills, and computer literacy in health information management systems
- Prior clinic or dental office experience is a plus; familiarity with dental terminology and office management practices will be advantageous
