The Flipside Cafe in Fort Mill is looking for line cooks to join our growing team. We are a casual restaurant offering Southern inspired food including breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We are a busy restaurant, and you must possess a sense of urgency and commitment to excellent hospitality. We offer flexible scheduling and opportunities for growth for the right candidates.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items with precision, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
- Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards to deliver exceptional dining experiences
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations in accordance with food safety regulations
- Assist with food prep tasks such as chopping and assembling ingredients for efficient service
- Support the kitchen team during busy periods by managing multiple orders seamlessly
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices are upheld at all times
- Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to execute menu planning and special event catering when needed
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment, preferably with fine dining exposure
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Experience with meal preparation, cooking, and plating presentation
- Familiarity with dietary department procedures and dietary aide experience is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude toward culinary excellence
