Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated VPK (Voluntary Prekindergarten) Teacher to inspire young learners and foster their early childhood development. Duties
- Develop and implement dynamic curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
- Create a stimulating classroom environment that promotes exploration, creativity, and learning through hands-on activities and play-based instruction.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement strategies to foster a respectful and inclusive atmosphere.
- Conduct assessments to monitor each child's progress, prepare documentation for standardized testing, and communicate developmental milestones to parents or guardians.
- Maintain accurate attendance records, safety procedures, and classroom management protocols in compliance with licensing requirements.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan school-wide activities, participate in ongoing professional development, and contribute to a supportive team environment.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with preschool-aged children in a classroom or daycare setting is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early intervention strategies, and behavior management techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum content that incorporates literacy education, math skills, physical education, and Montessori or other specialized teaching methods.
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
- Certification or credential in early childhood education or preschool teaching is required; additional training in special education or toddler care is advantageous.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and lesson planning for diverse learners.
