09/01/2026 - To on or around 01/04/2027The School Counselor will be responsible for the successful completion of the following tasks: -Communicate regularly with students on their caseload surrounding issues of academic success, physical/ social-emotional health, goal setting, post graduate planning, student safety/welfare and skill development both in and out of the classroom.-Be an active part of the School Counseling team and specifically collaborate with the 6-8 counseling department in developing programming and activities relevant to the grade bands needs.-Work collaboratively with other teachers to ensure that all students are successfully progressing through the program, that parents/students have a central point of contact, and that questions and concerns are answered and addressed.-Support students in instances of child welfare/ mental health concerns and monitor these situations early and often.-Assist students in applications to non-MassCA school settings.-Ensure that students on IEP and 504 plans are receiving any required school-counseling services.-Develop and implement virtual methods of creating and maintaining a school community;-Other duties as assigned.
