Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions.
- Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure smooth workflow.
- Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper technique and patient comfort.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and office protocols.
- Follow infection control protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures, to ensure a safe environment for all.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice.
- Proficiency in dental software systems such as Dentrix Ascend for documentation review and record keeping.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control standards.
- Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining excellent patient care and communication skills.
- Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and medical coding practices for accurate documentation.

Pay: $45.00 - $125.00 per hour
