Associate Attorney
Location: Newport Beach
Schedule: In-office | Monday–Friday | 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join our growing Personal Injury and Mass Torts practice. This is a full-time, in-office position ideal for a motivated attorney with 5–6 years of litigation experience who is comfortable independently managing cases while collaborating with a dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, strategic, client-focused, and committed to achieving excellent results.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of personal injury and mass tort matters from inception through resolution
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement demands
- Handle depositions, mediations, settlement conferences, and court appearances
- Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and insurance carriers
- Analyze medical records, liability issues, and damages
- Collaborate with partners, associates, paralegals, and support staff to develop case strategy
- Ensure compliance with all court deadlines and firm procedures
- Provide supervision and mentorship to legal assistants as needed
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active and good-standing license to practice law in California
- 5–6 years of experience in personal injury litigation; mass tort experience strongly preferred
- Comfortable handling cases involving sexual abuse and other sensitive issues
- Proven ability to independently manage cases and deadlines
- Strong legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
- Experience with discovery, depositions, and settlement negotiations
- Professional demeanor with excellent client communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Pay: $155,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
