Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring their comfort and safety. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality care in various settings, including nursing homes, hospitals, and senior care facilities.
Duties
Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
Help patients with mobility, including transferring them to and from beds or wheelchairs.
Maintain patient hygiene and cleanliness of living areas.
Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation in medical records.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient needs and progress.
Adhere to HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
Support the nursing staff in delivering care to patients in a Level I Trauma Center or similar environments.
Experience
Previous experience in a nursing home or senior care setting is preferred.
Familiarity with medical terminology and basic life support techniques is highly desirable.
Experience working with children or in pediatric settings is a plus.
Knowledge of medication administration protocols is beneficial.
A strong understanding of geriatrics and the unique needs of elderly patients is essential.
