Fern In The Wild is looking for a friendly, organized, and hospitality-driven Host to be the first impression our guests experience. Our hosts do much more than greet guests. They help coordinate the flow of the restaurant, support the service team, answer guest questions, and ensure every visitor feels welcomed from the moment they walk through the door.

Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with genuine hospitality and professionalism
- Manage reservations, waitlists, and guest seating
- Answer phones and assist guests with questions about reservations, menus, events, and restaurant services
- Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, bartenders, and managers
- Support dining room operations by assisting with food running, beverage delivery, and guest needs when appropriate
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming host stand and entry area
- Assist with opening, closing, and daily side work
- Support private events, large parties, and special occasions
- Help create a positive, team-oriented environment for guests and coworkers
Qualifications
- Previous customer service or restaurant experience preferred, but not required
- Friendly, outgoing, and professional demeanor
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and stay calm in a busy environment
- Dependable with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Evening and weekend availability preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment
