I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible to the Business Services Supervisor. Performs duties relating to the efficient operation of the Business Office to include: processing admissions and discharges for acute patients, Emergency, Specialty Clinics, Women’s Health Center, Physical Therapy, accounts receivable and billing functions, accounts payable responsibilities, and functions as a clerical worker with the medical/nursing team in Emergency and Outpatient services.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Essential: Seeing, hearing, speaking, sitting, finger dexterity, repetitive arm and hand motions.
Continuous: Seeing, hearing, speaking, sitting, finger dexterity, lifting weight up to 20 pounds, pushing/pulling weight up to 20 pounds, carrying weight up to 20 pounds, repetitive arm/hand motions, frequent gripping of an object.
Operates computer, printer, copier, scanner, fax, and calculator.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions, noise and/or vibration, hazardous physical conditions, or atmospheric conditions which affect the respiratory system or the skin.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
- High School graduate or the equivalent.
- Business School graduate or comparable education/experience with courses in bookkeeping or accounting preferred.
B. EXPERIENCE:
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
- One (1) year business or office experience.
- Ability to type 40wpm.
- Ability to operate ten-key calculator by touch.

- Ability to communicate professionally with the public.
- Ability to operate a computer, including but not limited to the following applications: Excel, Word, PDF, and Email applications.
- Medical terminology knowledge preferred.
