Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and responsible Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of vehicles, including buses and paratransit vans, to transport passengers efficiently and comfortably. Your enthusiasm for driving, excellent communication skills, and dedication to customer service will ensure a positive experience for all riders.
Responsibilities
· Assist participants on and off the vehicle.
· Provide the participants door to door assistance.
· Ensure participant safety while transporting.
· Follow proper emergency procedures.
· Maintain current driving eligibility.
· Abide by all road and safety laws.
· Notify appropriate staff members when there is an incident, call off, safety issues, or any other concerns regarding participants.
· Notify Transportation Coordinator of any potential problems with the vehicle and/or related equipment.
· Complete required transportation records and logs.
· Adhere to proper procedures in the storage of medications.
· Maintain vehicle’s First Aid kit.
· Assist participants with transferring and ambulation as needed.
· Follow Standard Precautions at all times.
· Comply with all HIPAA and confidentiality requirements.
· Participate in staff meetings, in-service training, group discussions, and other relevant training.
· All other jobs and duties as required.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for bus or paratransit driving.
- Proven experience in bus driving, school bus driving, or commercial driving roles.
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse communities.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Ability to work with children, seniors, or individuals requiring special assistance with patience and professionalism.
- Excellent behavior management skills to handle various passenger situations effectively.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
