Full integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC).
Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive care to newborns and premature infants
-
Evaluate the physical and mental development of newborns
-
Perform assessments of infants’ health, including ordering and interpreting lab and imaging tests

Prescribe medications and treatment plans
-
Advise parents on infant care and nutrition
-
Attend deliveries and provide emergency care for newborns
-
Collaborate with other healthcare team to ensure the best possible care for the newborn

Maintains the electronic medical record in accordance with Fairview standards and in accordance with licensure and scope

Recognizes and appropriately responds to medical emergencies
-
Serves as a patient advocate by maintaining patient confidentiality, protecting patient rights, communicating in a timely manner and resolving concerns or complaints regarding care and service
Required Qualifications:

Medical Doctorate degree (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) or foreign equivalent from an accredited school of medicine.

Graduate of an accredited ACGME training program in neonatology

Sub-specialty certification from ABP in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine

Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota board of Medical Practice Licensure Currently board certification in Neonatal- Perinatal Medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics or an equivalent board of the RCPSC or eligible examination for certification. Current NRP certification

Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of MN

Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges
