Canon Business Process Services, Inc. has an immediate opening for an Electrical Technician in Houston, TX! Our ideal candidate will have 10 years of experience as a certified Electrician or Journeyman and partner with our Facilities team to provide a safe, productive educational environment.
Duties to be performed:
o Assist Instructors in assembling portable Engineering Simulators, Controls and Excitation Labs, and other training aids as required.
o Operate high capacity cranes during maintenance and training sessions in lab areas (75+ Ton loads) this requires rigging certification
o Operate aerial lifts and forklifts to conduct maintenance and load/unload trucks
o Ensure facility completes all Safety and Maintenance related items as scheduled on the GE Compliance Calendars
o Moving of office furniture
o Package delivery to designated buildings and staff
o Technicians are to complete safety training modules as required o Classroom setup, readiness, and clean up
o Other duties as assigned by the Facilities Management Team related to facilities need, i.e. lawn mowing, watering, janitorial duties
o Certification requirements. (each person does not have to have all certifications, Certifications per GE EHS standards)
o Forklift driver
o Overhead Crane Operator or Aerial Lifts
o Electrical Certification or Welding Certification Skills: minimum ; Master Electrician preferred
o Associates Degree in construction technology or 3 years of equivalent hands on experience in the power generation or heavy industrial field.
o At least 2 years of hands-on experience maintaining industrial equipment and building systems

Pay: $27.34 - $32.92 per hour

Experience:
