Organization Overview

Cascia Hall Preparatory School is a Catholic, Augustinian college preparatory school for students of all
faiths in grades 6-12. In the Augustinian tradition, students receive a liberal arts education which prepares

Position Overview

The Director of Development and Donor Engagement leads a comprehensive philanthropic lifecycle
strategy, balancing proactive growth initiatives with sophisticated stewardship to secure new investment
and deepen long-term donor loyalty.

This role is responsible for directing the donor journey through personalized communication, strategic
recognition, and high-impact events aligned with organizational priorities. Working collaboratively, the
Director ensures donor interactions are proactive, timely, and mission-driven, while maintaining accurate
records and stewarding donor intent. The position leverages data and predictive analytics to inform
growth strategy, improve retention, and achieve ambitious fundraising goals.

This role requires strong strategic planning, communication, and project management skills, along with a
commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and excellence in philanthropic service.

Essential Job Functions

Annual Giving Strategy and Execution

Develop and manage a comprehensive annual giving strategy in support of Cascia Hall’s One Cascia

annual fund

Oversee all annual fund initiatives, including direct mail, digital appeals, alumni outreach, and special

campaigns

Manage and grow Cascia Hall’s annual giving society to strengthen leadership-level participation and

donor engagement

Donor Identification, Cultivation, and Stewardship

Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward relationships with alumni, parents, grandparents, and friends

of Cascia Hall by aligning philanthropic interests with the school’s Catholic, Augustinian mission and
academic priorities

Develop and implement effective solicitation strategies for annual and leadership-level gifts

Strengthen donor relationships through intentional cultivation, recognition, and stewardship

activities that reflect the values of the Cascia Hall community

Work with the Director of School Advancement and the campaign cabinet to facilitate major gifts for

specific campaigns/needs as they arise

Prospect Research and Pipeline Development

Conduct and compile prospect research to identify new funding opportunities and

expand the school’s donor base

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of donor interactions and engagement in

the advancement database

Data Management and Reporting

Work with the Advancement Assistant to oversee donor database integrity, including gift entry,

pledge tracking, and donor communications

Ensure accurate record-keeping and adherence to best practices in fundraising operations and

reporting

Track and evaluate annual giving performance, preparing reports and analyses for the Headmaster,

Director of Advancement, and Board of Directors

Collaboration and Volunteer Engagement

Partner with the Headmaster, Director of Advancement, Board members, and key volunteers to

advance fundraising priorities

Support and engage volunteers, including alumni leaders and campaign committees, in annual giving

efforts

Collaborate across departments to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with school priorities

Events and Community Engagement

Assist in planning and executing advancement events, including donor cultivation, stewardship, and

community engagement opportunities

Represent Cascia Hall at school and community events to strengthen relationships and promote a

culture of philanthropy Operations and Administration

Maintain efficient and organized advancement operations, including systems for donor

communication and gift processing

Perform additional duties as assigned in support of the Advancement Office and the broader mission

of Cascia Hall

Physical Demands

Lifting up to 25 lbs unassisted

Frequent prolonged standing, sitting, bending, stooping and walking.

Use standard office equipment such as; personal computers, printer, copy and fax machines, and

telephone.

Crafts compelling donor correspondence, impact reports, proposals, and presentations tailored to

Understands fundraising principles, including annual giving, major gifts, planned giving, and

campaigns.

Partners effectively with development leadership to support revenue goals.

Utilizes donor databases and analytics to inform strategies, track engagement, and measure

outcomes.

Interprets trends to improve donor retention and increase giving.

Leads, mentors, and develops donor relations staff. Fosters a collaborative, accountable, and mission-

driven team culture.

Plans, prioritizes, and executes multiple initiatives simultaneously. Ensures donor events,

communications, and stewardship activities are delivered on time and at a high standard.

Maintains a high level of precision in donor records, acknowledgments, and reporting.

Ensures compliance with gift agreements and donor intent.

Works effectively across departments (advancement, finance, marketing, leadership) to align donor

relations with institutional goals.

Upholds the highest standards of integrity, discretion, and professionalism in handling sensitive donor

information and philanthropic activities.

Oversees the planning and execution of donor events, ensuring a high-quality experience that

strengthens relationships and reflects organizational values.

Responds effectively to changing priorities and donor needs. Identifies challenges and implements

thoughtful, solutions-oriented approaches.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Motor vehicle operator’s license

Educational and Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in applicable to teaching assignment.

Masters degree preferred.
