Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Cashier/Sales associate for midnight full time position to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while efficiently processing transactions and maintaining the sales floor. Your ability to communicate effectively and upsell products will contribute to a positive shopping experience for our customers. A background in retail sales, particularly in a grocery store environment, is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently at the cash register.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions and product offerings to effectively upsell items.
- Stock shelves and ensure that products are organized and displayed attractively.
- Supervise junior staff members when required, providing guidance and support.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with team members to maintain a smooth workflow.
- Ensure compliance with store policies and procedures regarding cash handling and inventory management.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to upsell products and enhance customer satisfaction through excellent service.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with a diverse customer base.
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as this can enhance customer interactions.
- Experience in supervising or training staff is a plus, but not mandatory.
