Job Summary
The Operational Accountant is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations by ensuring the timely, accurate, and controlled processing of financial transactions. This role contributes to the integrity of financial reporting through the preparation of journal entries, reconciliation of accounts, and resolution of discrepancies.
The position plays a key role in supporting month-end close activities, managing invoices, and maintaining proper documentation to meet internal controls and audit requirements. The Operational Accountant collaborates with internal departments, accounting teams, and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with established policies and regulatory standards while delivering high-quality financial support.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and upload journal entries in accordance with established procedures
Responsibilities may vary, and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Monitor and analyze suspense accounts and follow up on outstanding items
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Process invoices and coordinate with Accounts Payable for payment activities
- Maintain accurate and audit-ready documentation of financial transactions
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to gather and validate financial information
Requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience with SAP or similar accounting systems is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
