Job Summary
AHCS is seeking a qualified and compassionate Mental Health Assessor to provide community-based behavioral health assessment services. This is a contracted position responsible for conducting intake assessments, biopsychosocial evaluations, treatment planning, and required screenings for children, adolescents, and families. The Assessor works collaboratively with the clinical team to identify client needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and connect clients to appropriate services. Services are provided in a variety of settings, including the office, home, school, and other community locations, based on client needs. Assessments can be completed via telehealth or in person.
Fingerprinting Requirement:
All applicants must be able to complete and maintain required Level 2 background screening and fingerprinting in compliance with Florida regulations. Fingerprinting must be completed through the Florida Clearinghouse. More information can be found at:https://info.flclearinghouse.com.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Complete intake paperwork, biopsychosocial assessments, treatment plans, and all required screenings in accordance with agency, Medicaid, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments and gather relevant clinical, family, educational, medical, and social history.
- Develop, review, and update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, families, and the clinical team.
- Participate as an active member of the clinical team through case staffing, treatment planning, and coordination of care.
- Provide services in community-based settings, including the office, client homes, schools, and other approved locations.
- Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation.
- Attend and actively participate in all required supervision sessions, clinical meetings, staff meetings, and trainings.
- Communicate all clinical, ethical, safety, compliance, and operational concerns to the direct supervisor in a timely manner.
- Seek supervision and consultation when needed to ensure quality client care and adherence to agency standards.
- Maintain professional relationships with clients, families, school personnel, referral sources, and community partners.
Work Environment
- This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position.
- Services are provided in a combination of office-based and community-based settings, including client homes, schools, and telehealth.

Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
- Registered Intern or fully licensed clinician preferred (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, Psychologist).Must have an active Florida Department of Health Registered Licensure or be fully licensed
- Experience conducting mental health assessments, biopsychosocial evaluations, and treatment planning at least 2 years.
- Strong clinical documentation, communication, and organizational skills.

Pay: $90.00 - $110.00 per hour
